I had a breakthrough with the installation of the cell phone/computer tether last night right before bed and I'm now tethered to the internet! Whooooo Hoooooo!
I'll probably post more on this wonder of technology at a later date, but for now, I think I'm a little bit disappointed. The speed isn't anything near what I was led to expect it would be but it's still much, much better than the old dial up! I'm thinking that there may be something I can do to increase the speed but for now I'm enjoying surfing that's faster than anytime ever before on this computer!

- I'm an artist living in the middle of the boonies but usually enjoying every minute of it. Living in the country means no cable or super fast internet connection and certainly no brick and mortar art stores within easy reach. But it also means that we have an abundance of wildlife right outside our door as well as beautiful landscape vistas just about anywhere we look. That's well worth the lack of modern conveniences to me.

Well done on conquering the technology. I'm still not quite sure how it works, but if it helps, then great.
I know with cell charges in Canada, it would cost the earth to be hooked up - rather like having a blackberry I guess and I know the charges for those each month aren't cheap.
Now can I send you big files? hehee
Jeanette, fortunately, this connection comes with a very reasonable plan. It's just $25 per month for unlimited internet use. I'm glad as it would be prohibitive for me also.
Q - don't you dare! I've been told the speed isn't where it should be so, until I figure it out, you'd best just keep your huge files! lol
